SBT Sinop is a Brazilian television station based in Sinop, in the state of Mato Grosso, operating as an affiliate of the SBT (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão) network . The primary language of broadcasting is Portuguese. The station was founded on July 24, 1992, by businessman, rancher, and politician Roberto Dorner under the name TV Cidade, originally as an affiliate of Rede Manchete . It is owned by Grupo Roberto Dorner de Comunicação, which also owns SBT Cuiabá, SBT Rondonópolis, and SBT Nova Mutum . The station operates on analog channel 4 VHF and digital channel 48 UHF (virtual channel 4.1), and its slogan is "Mato Grosso se vê aqui" (Mato Grosso sees itself here) .

The station has undergone several affiliation changes throughout its history. With the bankruptcy of Rede Manchete in 1999, the station followed the transition to the short-lived TV! network and then to RedeTV!, becoming one of its earliest affiliates . Between June and July 2009, the station announced it would leave RedeTV! for SBT, and at midnight on August 1, 2009, it began transmitting SBT's signal, filling a gap in Mato Grosso which had been without an SBT affiliate for three months following the disaffiliation of TV Cidade Verde . On February 4, 2016, after 24 years, the station changed its name from TV Cidade to SBT Sinop, aligning its branding with the SBT network .

On air, SBT Sinop rebroadcasts the majority of the national SBT network programming, which includes nationally known entertainment shows, journalism, Mexican telenovelas, and children's programming. In addition to the national feed, the station produces local programming for the Sinop and northern Mato Grosso audience. Its flagship local program is the telejournal SBT Notícias Sinop, which airs weekdays at 6:00 PM and features coverage of regional news and community issues . In July 2025, the station participated in the "Diálogos com a Sociedade" project, a partnership with the Ministério Público de Mato Grosso (MPMT), broadcasting interviews on topics including urban forestry, adoption, elder care, combating organized crime, environmental issues, and violence against women. The segments were hosted by journalist Alessandro Gomes and broadcast live from a glass studio at the Shopping Sinop .

SBT Sinop is available throughout the Sinop metropolitan area and parts of northern Mato Grosso via analog on channel 4 VHF and digital terrestrial television on channel 48 UHF (virtual channel 4.1), with digital transmissions having begun on February 23, 2015 . The station is also available on cable and satellite providers as part of the SBT network distribution.
