In 2013, the channel was acquired by the J&F Group, one of Brazil's most important agribusiness conglomerates, founded by José Batista Sobrinho. Today, Canal Rural is the largest agribusiness communication platform in Brazil and is headquartered in São Paulo, with affiliated operations in seven Brazilian states including Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Espírito Santo, as well as a presence in Brasília and Cuiabá. The channel's flagship news programs include Rural Notícias, covering the latest agribusiness news; Mercado & Cia, focusing on market analysis and commodity prices; and Giro do Boi, a daily project dedicated to cattle ranching. The channel also produces Planeta Campo, a program focused on sustainability, as well as Direto ao Ponto and A Protagonista, interview programs. The channel's programming includes live coverage of livestock auctions, which have been a cornerstone of the channel since 1998 and provided the economic foundation for the broadcaster's growth. The channel also provides specialized weather forecasts for agriculture and covers major agribusiness events such as Expointer and Expodireto in Rio Grande do Sul. The channel's team includes a roster of expert commentators such as Roberto Rodrigues, Miguel Daoud (commentator on Economy and Politics), and Ana Amélia Lemos.
The channel has a significant multiplatform presence. It reaches over 43 million households via pay TV, satellite dishes, and connected TVs through partnerships with Samsung TV Plus (channel 2084), LG, and TCL.
