The station is owned by the government of the state of Paraná and operated by Rádio e Televisão Educativa do Paraná (RTVE PR) . It is an affiliate of TV Brasil, the country's national public broadcaster . The station broadcasts on digital UHF channel 9.1 in Curitiba and Matinhos, 33.1 in Londrina, 44.1 in Foz do Iguaçu, 30.1 in Umuarama, and additional channels across the state, reaching viewers through open signal, cable, and satellite . On air, TV Paraná Turismo was originally founded on August 3, 1987, as TV Educativa do Paraná (TVE Paraná) and had a history of various names, including TV Paraná Educativa and e-Paraná, before adopting its current name in May 2019 .
