TV Canção Nova is a Brazilian Catholic television network owned by the Canção Nova Community, a Catholic charismatic group founded in 1978 by Monsignor Jonas Abib in Cachoeira Paulista, São Paulo. The network began broadcasting on December 8, 1989, initially reaching only the municipalities of Cachoeira Paulista and Lorena in the Paraíba Valley region, where it operated as an affiliate of the former TVE Brasil, producing about two hours and forty minutes of daily original programming. In 1997, the network achieved national coverage with the acquisition of TV Jornal in Aracaju, Sergipe, allowing it to form the full Rede Canção Nova de Televisão.

On air, TV Canção Nova operates 24 hours a day with non-commercial programming focused on Catholic evangelization, including catechesis, liturgical celebrations, preaching, retreats, spiritual formation content, news, children's programs, music, and cultural segments. Key religious and devotional programs over the years have included "Prepare o seu coração," "Vale vida," "Som e Canção," "Estou no meio de vós" presented by Monsignor Jonas Abib, the live daily Terço da misericórdia (Chaplet of Mercy), Santa Missa (Holy Mass) live from the Sanctuary of the Father of Mercies, "Passo a passo com Jesus" from the Holy Land, and Momento Oracional for daily surrender to God. The network has also featured discussion and educational programming such as "Trocando Idéias" presented by Luzia Santiago and Professor Felipe Aquino, "Pergunte e Responderemos" with Professor Felipe Aquino, "Pra ser Feliz" with Father Adriano Zandoná (live from São Paulo), "Revolução Jesus" for youth audiences, and the journalistic program "Além da Notícia." Entertainment and lifestyle programming includes Canção Nova Sertaneja (country music), "Minha Família é Assim" presented by Nelsinho and Márcia Corrêa, and Acampamentos de Oração e Kairós on weekends. In the journalistic sphere, the network's Rio de Janeiro news unit produced programming until its closure in April 2015 as part of cost-cutting measures.

TV Canção Nova has established itself as the largest Catholic television network in Brazil, as of 2007, with a potential audience of 55 million viewers. The network has received a Guinness World Records certificate for its non-commercial Catholic programming, awarded on September 13, 2003. The network's infrastructure includes five studios and three event spaces at its headquarters in Cachoeira Paulista, with one venue capable of holding approximately 53,000 people, as well as three mobile satellite production units. The network's coverage includes two primary generating stations (Aracaju and Cachoeira Paulista), four affiliated generating stations (Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, and Brasília), and over 350 retransmitters across Brazil. The network also has an international presence, broadcasting to audiences in the American continent, Western Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East via 127 local cable TV operators, 396 retransmitters, satellite, and internet.

TV Canção Nova is available throughout Brazil via digital terrestrial television on various channels depending on the region, as well as on major pay-TV operators including SKY (channel 286), Claro TV (channels 19, 119, and 173), Oi TV (channel 27), and Vivo TV (channel 233). The network is also broadcast free-to-air via satellite on several satellites including NSS 806 at 40.5°W and Star One C2 at 70.0°W. Viewers can watch online the live broadcast of TV Canção Nova through the official TV Canção Nova website at tv.cancaonova.com, which offers 24/7 streaming, and the network was the first Brazilian national TV network to offer live programming on social media platforms, starting in 2011.

TV Canção Nova strives to reach baptized Catholics seeking deeper faith formation, offering ad-free content dedicated to the Church's mission of evangelization. The mission of the channel is to inspire personal encounters with Jesus Christ through media, based on values and principles that differ from the broader television landscape, supported primarily by the spontaneous donations of its viewers. The network is part of the broader Canção Nova media group, which also includes a radio network, a publishing house, and a record company, with branches in several Brazilian cities and internationally in Paraguay, Mozambique, Portugal, Italy, France, and Israel.
