DSTV online television
DSTV is the local television station of Dunaujvaros in Hungary, operating as Dunaujvaros Televizio and describing itself as the oldest continuously running broadcaster in the town. It went on air in the mid-2000s, founded by the local entrepreneur Varga Richard at a moment when political decisions had left the town without a local station, and its signal reaches the whole town as well as several settlements of the surrounding micro-region.
The schedule is built from named magazine blocks. The weekday flagship is Hirado, the news programme that carries the current affairs of the town, and around it run Napi1, Proart, Kispad, Mozaik, Anyagaink, Szoborvaros and AI Mesek, plus a weblog and a media offer section. Sport has a fixed place: the town is described as one of the capitals of Hungarian sport, and the sports magazine covers local derbies and club news. The station also keeps an archive that reaches back to the construction of the town, including pictures of its parks and streets from the previous century.
The media service activity is supported by the national media council within its support programme, and the video archive publishes dated news editions every weekday. Online viewing is free and needs no registration, and this TV Online page carries the signal at any hour. Watch Live DSTV for local news from Dunaujvaros, use this page to Watch TV Online Free from any browser, or stream online in Hungarian from Hungary or from abroad; the Hungary Live Stream keeps the town on screen.
