Premiere is a Brazilian pay-per-view television channel owned by Globo, operating exclusively as a sports broadcasting network . The primary language of transmission is Portuguese. The channel was launched in 1997 under the name Premiere Esportes and has undergone several rebrandings, becoming Premiere Futebol Clube in 2006, Premiere FC in 2011, and finally Premiere in 2013 . The channel is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is part of the Canais Globo portfolio, operating as an extension of the sports network SporTV .



On air, Premiere is dedicated entirely to live football and sports programming. The channel broadcasts the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Série B, the Copa do Brasil, and several state championships including the Campeonato Paulista, Campeonato Carioca, Campeonato Gaúcho, and Campeonato Mineiro . The channel was a pioneer in pay-per-view sports broadcasting in Brazil and uses a multi-channel system, offering up to ten simultaneous channels (Premiere 2 through Premiere 6) to ensure coverage of all matches played concurrently, allowing viewers to choose which specific game to watch . The channel broadcasts in High Definition (1080i) with downscaling to 480i for standard definition feeds .



Premiere is widely available throughout Brazil on major pay-TV operators including Sky, Claro TV, Vivo TV, and Oi TV . Programming is also available through its sister channel, Premiere Clubes, a 24-hour channel that airs classic game replays. The channel operates under the slogan "Com o Premiere, dá jogo" (With Premiere, it's game on) . Subscription plans are offered either through a television provider or via streaming platforms such as Globoplay and Amazon Prime Video Channels, with monthly fees ranging from R$ 59.90 to R$ 78.90 depending on the plan .



Premiere serves the Brazilian domestic audience, but also has an international feed called PFC Internacional (or Premiere Internacional), which was launched in 2007 and is available in over 33 countries, including Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Japan, France, Spain, and the United States . This international service broadcasts more than 600 Brazilian football matches live every year .
