Santa Cecília TV is a Brazilian educational television channel operating in the regional news, cultural, and entertainment format. The primary language of broadcasting is Portuguese. The channel was inaugurated on January 26, 1997, replacing the extinct TV Litoral, which had operated since 1991 . The channel is based in Santos, São Paulo, although its broadcast license is granted to São Vicente. It is owned by the Sistema Santa Cecília de Comunicação, which is maintained by the Santa Cecília University (Universidade Santa Cecília - UNISANTA) . The channel's studios are located in the Boqueirão neighborhood of Santos, and its transmission antenna is situated on top of Morro do Voturuá in São Vicente .

On air, Santa Cecília TV features a mix of regional news, talk shows, sports coverage, religious programming, and live event coverage. The channel prides itself on having the largest regional programming schedule in the Baixada Santista region, with approximately 50 programs on air . The flagship news program is the daily 30-minute newscast, which employs over 30 professionals dedicated to independent and impartial journalism . The channel is known for its extensive live coverage of important regional events, including election coverage, Carnival parades, the procession of Nossa Senhora do Monte Serrat, and the Encenação de São Vicente .

Sports coverage is a significant part of the channel's programming. The channel has broadcast the Jogos da Unisanta, the largest university competition in the state of São Paulo, and other sporting events held at the university's gymnasium and aquatic complex . Historically, the channel covered Portuguesa Santista's matches in the Campeonato Paulista Série A-3 in 2018, and in 1998, the channel broadcast live from Argentina the title match of the Copa Conmebol won by Santos Futebol Clube against Rosário Central . The channel also covers swimming competitions, including the Campeonato Paulista Júnior e Sênior de Verão and the Troféu José Finkel, held at the Unisanta Aquatic Park .

Santa Cecília TV originally launched as an affiliate of TVE Brasil (later TV Brasil) but currently operates as an independent educational broadcaster . The channel was a pioneer among Brazilian educational broadcasters in high-definition transmission, launching its digital signal on November 20, 2010, on UHF channel 51 (virtual channel 52.1) . On December 21, 2017, the channel transitioned its physical channel to UHF 49 as part of the national analog-to-digital switchover, while keeping its virtual channel 52.1 .

The channel is available throughout the Baixada Santista region, covering seven cities including Santos, São Vicente, Cubatão, Praia Grande, and Bertioga, with expansion plans reaching Ubatuba to the north and Registro to the south . Viewers can watch online the live broadcast of Santa Cecília TV through the Santa Portal website (santaportal.com.br) and via the channel's YouTube channel. The channel is also carried on cable television providers including Claro TV+ (channels 13 and 513 HD) and Vivo TV (channel 10) .

Santa Cecília TV strives to bring quality educational and regional programming closer to viewers, operating under the slogan "Bem mais perto de você!" (Much closer to you!) . The mission of the channel is to serve the Baixada Santista community with serious, independent journalism, while also promoting culture, sports, and education. The channel is part of the Sistema Santa Cecília de Comunicação, which also includes Santa Cecília FM radio and the Santa Portal news website. Thanks to modern digital platforms, Santa Cecília TV provides the opportunity to watch online the live broadcast on any device - from smartphones to Smart TVs - ensuring that residents of the Baixada Santista region and former residents living elsewhere in Brazil or abroad can stay connected to their home region wherever they are.
