MTV Sub is a Finnish free-to-air television channel operating in the entertainment format, targeting a young adult audience. The primary language of broadcasting is Finnish. The channel originated as the cable channel TVTV! on December 13, 1999, which initially aired reruns of programs from MTV3. In August 2001, the channel was renamed Subtv and expanded to analog broadcasting nationwide. In 2008, the name was simplified to Sub. The channel was rebranded to its current name, MTV Sub, in December 2022 as part of a larger branding update by MTV Oy.

The channel is owned by MTV Oy, a subsidiary of the Nordic broadcasting company TV4 Media (formerly Bonnier Broadcasting), which is itself owned by the Swedish telecommunications company Telia Company. In 2025, TV4 Media was acquired by the Norwegian media group Schibsted. The channel’s slogan is “Ei toista samanlaista” (No other one like it).

On air, MTV Sub is the third most-watched commercial channel in Finland. Its core programming consists of classic comedy series, major Hollywood movies, and live sports. In October 2025, the channel’s top-rated program was the animated feature film Sisu, which was watched by 186,000 viewers. Sports coverage is a significant part of the channel's lineup, with National Hockey League (NHL) games being a consistent draw; an NHL broadcast in October 2025 attracted 99,000 viewers. Other popular films on the channel during this period included Maverick, The Expendables 4, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Hot Shots! Part Deux, and Rocky IV. Reality and documentary programming includes the Finnish survival series Alone Suomi and the UK reality series Liikennepoliisit UK (Traffic Cops UK).

The channel is widely available in Finland and is broadcast in high definition (1080i HDTV). On the Digita terrestrial network, the channel is found on channel 6. On cable and IPTV networks (DNA Welho, Elisa, Telia), the channel is also generally found on channel positions 6 and 26. On the Allente satellite platform, the channel is also on channel 6. As of June 30, 2025, Finland completed its national transition to HD broadcasting, and the standard-definition feed of MTV Sub was discontinued on terrestrial and cable networks. Viewers can watch online the live broadcast of MTV Sub through the MTV Katsomo streaming service.
