Lokshahi News online television

Lokshahi News is a news television channel from India broadcasting in Marathi for viewers in the state of Maharashtra and the large Marathi-speaking diaspora around the world. The name carries the idea of the people's rule, and the channel takes that seriously, covering regional, national and international news with particular attention to the politics, agriculture and community life of Maharashtra's cities and villages, from Mumbai and Pune to the smallest taluka town.

The schedule is anchored by Marathi news bulletins delivered at regular intervals through the day, with reporters filing from districts across the state. Political debate shows bring party representatives, journalists and analysts to the table to argue the issues of the day, while agriculture and rural reporting follows the concerns of farmers, the monsoon and the village economy. Breaking news, weather, market updates and cultural coverage round out a busy daily grid.
