KNBC (channel 4) is an NBC owned-and-operated television station licensed to Los Angeles, California, United States, serving the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The station was founded by the National Broadcasting Company and first signed on the air on January 16, 1949, as KNBH, becoming the first commercial television station in Los Angeles. It is owned by the NBC Owned Television Stations division of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast, and its studios are located at 3000 West Alameda Avenue in Burbank, California, adjacent to The Walt Disney Studios. As a dedicated source for online television, the station's transmitter is located on Mount Wilson in the San Gabriel Mountains, broadcasting with 1,000 kW of power to cover the Greater Los Angeles area.



The programming schedule allows viewers to watch live channel coverage of the full NBC network schedule, including prime time series such as The Voice, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.D., and Saturday Night Live. The station's weather team includes Chief Meteorologist Fritz Coleman, who retired in June 2022 after 39 years at KNBC, and was succeeded by Belen De Leon in September 2022, with David Biggar serving as morning meteorologist and Elita Loresca as weekend meteorologist. The station's sports team includes Sports Director Fred Roggin and sports anchor Jill Painter Lopez. The station also produces the weekly public affairs program News Conference hosted by Conan Nolan, which has aired since 1968, and LA Open, a weekly sports program hosted by Fred Roggin.
