Court TV is an American digital broadcast network and former cable television channel focused on live trial coverage, legal analysis, and true crime programming. The network was originally founded by Steven Brill on December 14, 1990, and launched on July 1, 1991. After the original cable channel was rebranded as TruTV in 2008, the Court TV brand was relaunched on May 8, 2019, as a digital broadcast network. The network is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and is owned by the E. W. Scripps Company, which agreed to sell the network to Law&Crime (owned by media company Jellysmack) in February 2026. As a dedicated source for online television, Court TV is devoted to live gavel-to-gavel coverage, in-depth legal reporting, and expert analysis of the nation's most important and compelling trials.

Key programs include Closing Arguments with Vinnie Politan, airing weeknights at 8:00 PM ET, and Vinnie Politan Investigates, airing weeknights at 9:00 PM ET, both hosted by lead anchor Vinnie Politan. The network also features Victim to Verdict with Ted Rowlands, a documentary series hosted by veteran true-crime journalist Ted Rowlands that examines major moments of high-profile cases from crime scene to courtroom. Additional programming includes the network's daily live trial coverage, news breaks, and legal analysis segments. The network has covered some of the most gripping trials in recent years, including Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard, the trial of Alex Murdaugh, and the trial of Derek Chauvin. In 2024, Court TV announced a fall primetime lineup featuring deep-dive coverage of cases including the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard civil case, the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, and the Alec Baldwin "Rust" case. The network is led by key people including John Alleva, Scott Tufts (vice presidents and managing editors), and lead anchor Vinnie Politan.
