Canal do Criador online television
Canal do Criador is a Brazilian subscription television channel operating in the agribusiness format, with an exclusive focus on livestock farming. The primary language of broadcasting is Portuguese. The channel was officially launched in September 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and is owned by the Canal Rural Group, the largest agribusiness broadcaster in Brazil, as part of the Holding J&F initiative. The channel is based in Brazil and directs its programming specifically to Brazilian cattle ranchers, having established itself as a reference for knowledge dissemination and business transactions for the sector. The channel operates 24 hours a day with content 100 percent dedicated to cattle raising.
On air, Canal do Criador features programming designed to inform and assist rural producers across multiple areas, including input purchasing, property management, herd and pasture management improvement, environmental preservation, and production commercialization. The schedule includes daily reports from experts in areas such as handling, nutrition, reproduction, and pasture management, along with market analysis. One of the programming pillars is live coverage of livestock auctions, which serve as an important commercial channel for animal trading. The channel also offers coverage of industry fairs and events, weather forecasts in partnership with Somar Meteorologia, and beef arroba prices. The channel's team includes journalist Janaína Barros (presenter) and Morgana Nunes (Content Supervisor). The broadcaster has received messages of support from public figures, including the Vice President of the Republic, Hamilton Mourão, who highlighted the channel's role in developing sustainable livestock farming.
Canal do Criador is available on Brazil's major pay-TV operators. Viewers can tune in to the channel on SKY channel 166, and on NET (now Claro TV+) channels 197 and 697. As of February 2021, the channel expanded its reach to more than 30 million Brazilian homes through these operators. In addition to pay-TV, the signal is transmitted via digital and analog satellite, reaching rural properties across the country. The channel can also be watched online through streaming via its internet portal and social media, making it a true multi-platform communication channel for the agribusiness sector.
Canal do Criador strives to serve as a tool for Brazilian livestock farming, disseminating knowledge, highlighting best practices, and connecting breeders, auctioneers, and investors. The mission of the channel is to unite tradition and innovation to help rural producers make informed decisions within their businesses. In September 2025, the channel celebrated five years of history, consolidating itself as one of the main communication vehicles for the sector and reinforcing its commitment to giving visibility to national livestock farming.
