The morning newscast gave me a useful rundown of Des Moines traffic, local headlines, and the forecast before work. The traffic map was especially handy.

While visiting family in Ireland, I used KCCI for the Sunday evening newscast and caught the local sports wrap afterward. The stream was a useful substitute for cable and stayed watchable on a slow hotel connection, though the picture softened briefly during the weather segment.

I found KCCI quickly, and the free stream started without a signup hassle. The EPG was a bit slow to appear on my phone, but everything worked fine afterward.

Tonight's stream looked crisp on my TV, with clear audio and no buffering or dropouts during the full newscast.
