Zarok TV live stream
Zarok TV online television
Zarok TV is the first and only Kurdish-language children`s edutainment television channel in Turkey, operating as a specialty channel focused on mother-tongue education and entertainment for Kurdish-speaking children. The channel was initially launched on March 21, 2015, in Diyarbakır, Turkey, by Başkent Vizyon Radio Television Broadcasting Corporation, owned by Behçet Sevim, who also owns Denge TV. As a dedicated source for online television, the channel broadcasts 24 hours a day in the Kurdish dialects of Kurmanji, Zazaki, and Sorani, targeting Kurdish children in Turkey as well as across the Middle East where Kurdish populations reside.
The programming schedule allows viewers to watch live channel coverage of internationally well-known cartoons dubbed into Kurdish, alongside educational and instructive programs for kids. The channel`s professional dubbing is performed by professional theater actors. In a significant international milestone, Zarok TV announced that its Kurdish dub of The Smurfs would begin streaming on the official Smurfs YouTube channel starting March 1, 2026, marking the first time Kurdish would be featured alongside English, French, and Spanish on a major global platform. The channel`s general coordinator is Dilek Demirel.
The channel has a complex legal history. It was shut down on September 29, 2016, under an emergency statutory decree following the July 15 coup attempt, with authorities accusing the station of separatist activities. The closure faced international condemnation, with the European Parliament criticizing Turkish authorities for misusing the law. After approximately 1.5 months, Zarok TV was allowed to resume broadcasting on November 18, 2016, following a decision by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK).
For audiences seeking a reliable live stream of Kurdish children`s content, Zarok TV is widely available as a free-to-air service via satellite on Türksat 4A at 42.0 degrees East on frequency 12605 MHz with vertical polarization, a symbol rate of 27500, and FEC of 5/6. The channel is also carried on major cable and IPTV platforms across Turkey, including Digiturk on channel 660 and Filbox on channel 89. The channel is accessible as tv online through its official website zarok.tv and via linear streaming through various IPTV providers, with its stream confirmed active as of April 2026.
