UCL Televisión (Unión Continental Latinoamérica) is a Uruguayan subscription television channel operating in the generalist format. The primary language of broadcasting is Spanish. The channel was officially launched on July 31, 2013, and is headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay. The channel was founded by Robert Rocha, Pablo Scotellaro, and Iván Solarich. Its slogan is "El canal de todos" and "la voz de un continente." The channel's main objective is to rescue, promote, and disseminate the talent, values, and cultural diversity of Latin America through cultural, social, and entertainment content.
On air, UCL Televisión features programming that includes informative segments, business and economic news, cultural documentaries, tourism content, and general entertainment. The channel has produced notable specials, including a documentary commemorating the 30th anniversary of Colonia del Sacramento being declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, highlighting the historical and cultural identity of Uruguay. The channel also produces news segments covering regional current events. The channel has expanded its distribution significantly since its founding. In January 2016, UCL arrived in Paraguay via TigoStar. The channel's signal is transmitted by most Uruguayan cable operators and has international distribution through agreements with major telcos and operators across the Americas. The channel reaches more than 40 million households in Latin American countries including Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the United States, as well as Spain. Additionally, the channel reaches more than 80 million people through digital platforms and its UCLGo application.
The channel is available via cable and satellite throughout Uruguay and Latin America. Viewers can also watch online the live broadcast through the official UCL website and the UCL TV mobile application.
