On air, TVM operates a full-service generalist schedule (Vollprogramm) that includes news broadcasts, sports coverage, feature films, and television series . The flagship news and information programming includes newscasts and reports covering national events. TVM also offers a variety of entertainment content. The network previously operated a second channel, TVM2, launched on March 8, 2012, which focused on economic, sports, and entertainment content as a complement to the main generalist channel . TVM2 was closed on April 7, 2017, and its place was taken by a new international service, TVM Internacional, which is available on subscription television platforms, including satellite providers in Africa and Europe .
TVM is available throughout Mozambique via terrestrial transmitters, with a satellite signal providing national coverage since the late 1990s, as well as coverage in parts of neighboring countries . The international channel, TVM Internacional, is broadcast on satellite platforms such as GoTV Mozambique (on Irdeto encryption) and is also available in Portugal via the NOS satellite platform on channel 196 . The network maintains a digital presence through its official website, tvm.co.mz .
