SET News online television

SET News is a Taiwanese 24-hour news channel operated by Sanlih E-Television, one of the island's largest private broadcasters, from its headquarters in the Neihu District of Taipei. Carried on cable channel 54 across Taiwan, it covers breaking news, politics, society, weather, entertainment and sports in Mandarin, serving viewers at home and a large Mandarin-speaking audience overseas. Anyone wishing to Watch Live coverage of the island's fast-moving public life will find this Taiwan Live Stream a direct window into Taiwanese current affairs on TV Online platforms anywhere in the world.

The schedule combines rolling news bulletins with strong signature programs. Mornings open with the news magazine Good Morning Fresh News, while the flagship evening block 台灣大頭條, Taiwan Headlines, sums up the day's biggest stories, a slot long fronted by the channel's leading anchor Li Wen-yi. Primetime belongs to the political talk show 新台灣加油, whose name literally means "New Taiwan, Go!", where politicians, commentators and journalists debate the issues stirring the island. Together with sister channel SET iNews, which focuses on business and finance, the newsroom covers everything from typhoon alerts to election nights.

The channel's history goes back to the late 1990s, when Sanlih launched the station as SET TV; it later adopted the SETN name before becoming Sanlih News, moved to high-definition production and, for more than a decade now, has offered a continuous signal online alongside its cable broadcast. Today viewers can Watch TV Online Free and stream online without a subscription, following the same live signal that cable households receive. For the Taiwanese diaspora and for anyone following East Asian affairs, SET News remains one of the island's most watched and most talked-about news sources.
