It is owned and operated by the RTL Group, one of Europe's largest broadcasting companies, and is headquartered at 43 boulevard Pierre Frieden on the Kirchberg plateau in Luxembourg City . The channel's program director is Alain Berwick . On March 23, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the channel was renamed from Den 2. RTL to RTL Zwee (RTL Deux in French) and expanded its schedule to include the majority of entertainment programs and series produced by RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg, as well as Luxembourgish and international films .

On air, RTL Zwee features programming geared towards a younger demographic, including a mix of entertainment shows, music video blocks, youth-oriented magazine programs, and live sports coverage . RTL Zwee broadcasts in 1080i high definition (HDTV). The channel is available throughout Luxembourg via digital terrestrial television (DVB-T), where it shares channel 27 with RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg . It is also available on major cable and IPTV platforms. Viewers can watch online the live broadcast of RTL Zwee through the RTL Play streaming platform (play.rtl.lu), which is accessible via web browsers and as a mobile application for iOS and Android devices . Due to audiovisual rights restrictions, live streams of sports events may be geo-protected and unavailable outside of Luxembourg .

RTL Zwee strives to serve as the entertainment channel for young adults in Luxembourg, offering a mix of youth-oriented programming, music videos, and live sports coverage, while also complementing the main RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg channel with additional entertainment content and films.
