Novo Tempo, also known as TV Novo Tempo or Hope Channel Brazil, is a Brazilian free-to-air television network operating in the Christian religious format. The primary language of broadcasting is Portuguese. The network is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, making it a key part of the church's global communication ministry. Novo Tempo was founded in 1996 under the name TV ADSAT, which stood for Televisão Adventista Satélite. The first broadcast took place on November 1, 1996, from its original headquarters in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro. The network was rebranded to Novo Tempo in 2003 and moved its headquarters to its current location in Jacareí, São Paulo, in 2005. The network's president is Antonio Tostes.
On air, Novo Tempo features a variety of programming divided into segments including spirituality, music, health, journalism, family, and testimonials. The network's programming includes several long-running and historic religious programs. A Voz da Profecia is the oldest religious program in Brazil, founded in 1943 and currently hosted by pastor Ivan Saraiva, featuring the quartet Arautos do Rei. Fé para Hoje first aired on November 25, 1962, making it the first evangelical program on Brazilian television, originally hosted by Alcides Campolongo. Está Escrito is another flagship program that has aired on various networks including Manchete, Band, and RedeTV! before finding its home on Novo Tempo. Faith For Today is the oldest evangelistic program in Brazilian television, currently hosted by Pastor Felippe Amorim, addressing topics such as religious fanaticism, elderly rights, ecology, and citizenship.
Bible study programs include Bíblia Fácil, Lições da Bíblia, Na Mira da Verdade, Encontro com Profecias, and Reavivados pela Palavra.
