6ter is a French entertainment television channel launched in 2012, owned by the M6 Group and based in Paris. Broadcasting exclusively in French to audiences across France, the channel targets a young adult and family demographic with a focus on light-hearted, engaging programming. Its live broadcast style is energetic and modern, blending pre-recorded series with entertainment magazines and film premieres. The schedule emphasizes prime-time entertainment blocks, with daytime slots reserved for reruns of popular series and afternoon films.

Key programming includes classic American series such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed, alongside hit dramas like Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. The channel also airs French films, comedy shows, and documentary-style specials. News formats are limited to short entertainment news segments, with no dedicated news bulletins. Sports content is absent, as the channel focuses purely on entertainment genres.

Viewers can tune in via live TV on traditional broadcast networks or watch live through the official 6play.fr platform, which offers a live stream of the channel. The schedule runs 24/7, with themed evenings such as "Soirée Film" on weekends. For those seeking to watch TV online free, 6ter provides a reliable option for French-language entertainment, with new episodes of flagship shows premiering weekly. The channel's mix of reality, drama, and comedy ensures a consistent audience for its accessible, feel-good content.
