Al Rasheed TV live stream

Al Rasheed TV online television

Al Rasheed TV, in Arabic قناة الرشيد الفضائية, is an Iraqi satellite channel broadcasting from Baghdad, where its headquarters stands. The industry catalogue records it as AlRasheedTV.iq, with the country Iraq, the category general and this Arabic title as an alternate name; the launch date field is left empty, and the reference article gives none either. The only date available comes from the channel's own site, whose page description calls it an independent satellite television channel opened in 2009.

The output is documented in two places and the two agree. The reference article lists news programmes, drama and comedy shows, while the channel describes itself as carrying political and variety programmes together with local and Arab news out of Baghdad. The site navigation follows the same split: news broken down into local affairs, politics, security and reports, then Arab and international coverage, sport, variety, culture and art, science and technology, a video library and a separate page for the live feed. Around the television service the same masthead also runs an FM radio station and a pocket client for the two main mobile platforms.

Watching needs no subscription: Watch Live in a browser on a computer, tablet or telephone, or on a connected television. Anyone else find the evening interviews more useful than the louder political debates?

The morning bulletin is my usual background watch while I get ready. I like the mix of quick headlines and callers, although some interviews take a little too long to reach the point.

I watched the Friday evening cultural program from abroad and appreciated the reports on Baghdad's old markets and local artists. The stream was steadier than my cable app on a slow night, though the picture softened briefly during the longer interview.

Watching on my Fire Stick, the HD picture is sharp and the audio stays synced, though it took a few seconds to clear after one brief buffer.

The studio sound is balanced
