AFTV live stream

AFTV online television

AFTV is the public access television channel of Framingham, Massachusetts, operated by the Framingham Public Access Corporation, a non-profit designated by the City of Framingham and trading as Access Framingham Television, EIN 16-1774076. Its stated mission is to engage, serve and enrich the community by developing programming made by and for the people of Framingham, providing educational opportunities and facilitating the exchange of ideas through traditional and new media. The same organisation also manages the Framingham Education Channel, a government channel, and the studios used by the local high school.

The schedule is local first: The Frame, the news strand that also publishes online and runs in Portuguese as well as English for the city's Brazilian community, plus AFTV Conversations, Frame by Frame and coverage of school committee meetings, town events and the annual Access Film Festival. Residents can take classes, borrow equipment, submit a show of their own or apply for an internship, and the station describes itself as a public forum for the free expression of ideas, including ideas it disagrees with. On cable the channel sits at Comcast 9, Verizon 42 and Astound / RCN 3, with HD carriage at 1100 and 1115.

Watching costs nothing and needs no subscription: Watch Live in a browser, on a connected television, a phone or a tablet. The channel runs 24 hours a day on a two-rung adaptive feed, 640x360 and 1920x1080 at 29.97 frames per second, in six-second segments, so it starts fast and holds on a modest connection. Follow the AFTV Live Stream for Framingham news around the clock, use this TV Online service for local coverage from Massachusetts, Watch TV Online Free, stream online at any hour and keep the United States Live Stream on the channel that hands the camera to the town.

The occasional classic film rerun is a nice change of pace after all the football talk, especially on a quiet weekend afternoon.

During a slow Sunday evening, the Match Day Live replay kept me company and felt more relaxed than the usual cable coverage. The picture paused once on my hotel Wi-Fi, but the fan reactions and post-match debate were still worth following while abroad.

The post-match mood swings are half the fun. I keep this stream bookmarked for those nights when I want honest fan talk instead of polished studio analysis.
