Aftab online television
Aftab is the provincial television channel of the Markazi Province broadcasting centre of IRIB, the state broadcaster of Iran, and it works out of Arak, the provincial capital, where the centre stands beside Bahonar Forest Park. The channel also answers to the name Markazi Channel and is operated by Aftab Network Co. When it opened in 2003 it became the twentieth provincial channel in the country, joining a network that now runs some thirty regional services. It broadcasts around the clock in Persian, in HD 1080i with H.264 encoding, over terrestrial and satellite transmitters.
The centre behind it is older than the channel: it began as a news bureau in 1983, and its official work started in 1986 with a one-kilowatt radio transmitter carrying news from its information and news unit. Provincial radio followed in 2000, with three production studios and eighteen hours of output a day on a hundred-kilowatt transmitter that reached the whole of Markazi Province and parts of the neighbouring ones, which is why the television that followed three years later already produced its own material locally. The schedule serves the province first, and the same feed is streamed online for viewers outside the transmitter footprint.
Watching costs nothing and needs no subscription: Watch Live in a browser, on a connected television, a phone or a tablet. The online feed is adaptive and steps from 426x240 through 480p and 720p up to 1920x1080, cut into two-second segments, so it switches quality almost instantly and recovers fast on a weak link. Follow the Aftab Live Stream for Persian-language provincial television around the clock, use this TV Online service for broadcasts out of Arak, Watch TV Online Free, stream online at any hour and keep the Iran Live Stream on the channel that carries the centre of the country to the screen.
