NHK E (JOAB-DTV) online television

NHK E, known in Tokyo by the digital callsign JOAB-DTV and loved across the country as E-Tele, is Japan's public educational television service, operated by NHK. It is the channel of learning: school support in the morning, children's classics in the afternoon, and arts, science, language and hobby programming in the evening — carefully made television for every age, free of commercial noise.

The schedule carries some of Japan's most beloved educational formats. Generations have grown up with Okaasan to Issho and its songs and dances for the little ones, while schoolchildren follow the ninja comedy Nintama Rantaro and the playful inventions of Pitagora Switch. Older viewers settle in for Design Ah!, which teaches the eye to see design in everyday things, and 100 Pun de Meicho, the long-running series that opens the great books of world literature in hundred-minute lessons.

For families in Japan and for learners of Japanese around the world, NHK E is the quiet giant of public broadcasting. Anyone can Watch Live over the internet and stream online from a phone, tablet or computer, free and without registration, so it is easy to Watch TV Online Free wherever you are. Open the Japan Live Stream and E-Tele is already on the air on this TV Online service, from the morning's first school lesson to the evening's arts documentary.
