Jidaigeki Senmon live stream

Jidaigeki Senmon online television

Jidaigeki Senmon is the Japanese television channel devoted entirely to jidaigeki — the period drama of the samurai age. Run as a dedicated specialty service, it keeps the stories of Edo-period Japan on screen around the clock: swordsmen and magistrates, ronin and lords, loyalty tested and justice done. For viewers who grew up with these tales, and for those discovering them for the first time, it is a home of living tradition.

The schedule rotates through the great names of the genre. Long-running favorites such as Mito Kōmon, the wandering vice-shogun righting wrongs in disguise, and Abarenbō Shōgun, the shogun who fights his own corrupt officials, anchor the grid alongside classics like Zenigata Heiji and Ōoka Echizen. Feature films from the Zatoichi and Lone Wolf and Cub series bring the golden age of chambara cinema to television, and holiday marathons gather whole story arcs for days of continuous viewing.

For lovers of the genre in Japan and for fans of samurai cinema around the world, the channel is a permanent festival of the period drama.
