Afrique Media online television

Afrique Media, also written Afrique Média, is a pan-African news and current affairs television channel from Cameroon under the slogan Le Monde C'est Nous, the world is us. It works in French and English and puts Africa at the centre of its own coverage, arguing that the continent should be reported by African newsrooms rather than foreign desks. The editorial line leans towards pan-African politics, the economies of the continent and the debates that follow decisions by African governments and regional bodies. Early productions were recorded in Douala, among them press reviews in French, English and Spanish and a midday flash bulletin.

The grid is built around conversation. Le Débat Panafricain is the signature programme, a long table discussion on the week's continental politics that runs several times a week in French and in English, while Appels sur le Continent takes calls from viewers. Le Mérite Panafricain rewarded African achievement, and daily bulletins carried the news cycle. Current coverage follows the Sahel closely: the industrialisation drive and intra-African trade of the Alliance of Sahel States after the ministerial meeting in Ouagadougou, security operations by the Malian army in the Mopti region, the Correct the Map initiative on the cartography of the continent and the return of former presidents to the political stage.

The channel is free to follow and broadcasts around the clock: Watch Live in a browser, on a connected television, a phone or a tablet, with recorded debates kept on demand. Follow the Afrique Media Live Stream for pan-African debate and news in French and English, use this TV Online service for the politics and economies of the continent, Watch TV Online Free, stream online at any hour and keep the Cameroon Live Stream on the newsroom that treats Africa as the subject of its reporting.

After midnight, I sometimes catch the channel for a quieter look at the day's regional news. The signal has dropped twice during late-night segments, so the stream is not quite dependable then.

The policy roundtable is the main reason I stay with this stream. Some segments run long, but the regional perspective keeps it worth watching.

Finding Afrique Media took only a minute, and I liked that the free stream worked without an account. The EPG was slow to appear once, but the site was easy to use on my phone.

On my Fire Stick, the stream is mostly stable with clear sound, but HD takes a while to appear and the picture has dropped briefly twice.

During paperwork, I leave Afrique Media on for the voices and occasional headlines. The debates make decent background company, though some ad breaks are louder than the program.
