Afghan Nobel TV online television
Afghan Nobel TV is a Canada-based general channel for Afghan audiences and the flagship service of the Afghan Nobel broadcaster, which also runs the sister movie channel Afghan Nobel Movies. It is carried in listings under the Canadian feed and broadcasts in Dari and Pashto, the two main languages of Afghan broadcasting, with a general schedule that mixes cultural programming, music, long-form entertainment and material aimed at Afghan households settled abroad. The broadcaster has been publishing its own output since February 2013 and works out of Toronto, where most of its recorded material is produced.
Music and culture carry the largest share of the output. The channel publishes live performance recordings, new songs in Dari and Pashto, and programmes built around singers working in the Afghan tradition, among them Farhad Shams, Rameen Sharif, Kianosh Rahimi and Masi Nazir, alongside releases such as the Pashto song Mina and the Afghan song Dilbar Jan. Sessions and concerts staged in Toronto form a standing part of the schedule, which reflects the fact that much of the audience now lives outside Afghanistan. Programming runs as a continuous schedule of long-form titles rather than short clips, with one item following another around the clock and repeats across the week so that viewers in different time zones can catch the same material.
The channel is distributed as a free live stream over the internet, with no subscription and no set-top box required: the signal plays in a browser and on phones, tablets, laptops and television sets. Watch Live whenever a concert recording or a cultural programme begins, or stream online at any hour of the day or night, follow the Canada live stream of Afghan music and culture out of Toronto, keep the channel open as TV online through an evening, and Watch TV Online Free with no account.
