The channel was launched in March 2021 as a project of ACI Sport, the Italian national motorsports federation, to serve as a dedicated platform for motorsports enthusiasts, providing live coverage, magazine programs, and exclusive content from the world of racing. The channel is the result of a collaboration between the ACI Sport communication department, led by Luca Bartolini, and Mediasport Group, the federation's long-time television partner. The channel's creation was announced by ACI President Angelo Sticchi Damiani, who stated that the goal was to create a place where fans can follow all motorsport disciplines, from recent races to archival footage dating back to 1905.

On air, ACI Sport TV features a mix of live racing broadcasts, delayed coverage, magazine programs, and in-depth talk shows. The channel's flagship talk show is Sotto Il Casco – Parola ai Protagonisti (Under the Helmet – Word to the Protagonists), hosted by journalist Camilla Ronchi. The program features interviews with drivers and key figures from Italian and international motorsports, with studio guests and remote connections. Weekly episodes of Sotto Il Casco air on Wednesday evenings, with past guests including KZ2 karting championship leader Cristian Bertuca, MINI Gr.3 leader Julian Frasnelli, and CIAR Sparco rally driver Simone Campedelli. The channel also produces ACI Sport Magazine, a weekly program airing every Thursday following race weekends, covering highlights from all categories of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, including interviews with main protagonists.

Karting coverage includes both the FIA Karting European Championship and FIA Karting World Championship, with the latter featuring events at Le Mans and Bahrain. The channel also covers Italian national championships including the Italian ACI Karting Championship, Italian Absolute Rally Championship (CIAR Sparco), and other ACI Sport series.

The channel is also available via satellite on Hotbird 13G at 13.0 degrees east, broadcasting in high definition MPEG-4 format.
