AccessVision Channel 17 is the United States community television channel of Battle Creek, Michigan, a city of 52,721 residents and the seat of Calhoun County. It is the second of two channels, 16 and 17, carried by AccessVision, the community access media center for Greater Battle Creek at 70 West Michigan Ave., suite 112. AccessVision is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit governed by a board of directors made up of appointed representatives from each participating municipality, and it broadcasts without commercial interruption.

Government coverage sits at the center of the channel. The schedule carries meetings from the participating communities, school and county sessions, high school sports and community programs, with a program guide and an archive of earlier episodes kept for later viewing. Around that civic core the center runs its own series, among them BeScene On Camera and Face to Face with Dave Eddy, plus work handed in by residents, schools and nonprofit groups. Anyone can start here: after completing a production workshop a resident is qualified to reserve and use the equipment they were trained on, free of charge, provided the material is made for AccessVision programming.

The center has a three-camera production studio, two editing suites running Final Cut Pro and a podcasting room, open weekdays and Saturday mornings. Funding traces to a 1987 franchise agreement with WestMarc Cable approved by Battle Creek, Springfield, Emmett Township and Newton Township: the municipalities keep half the fee and the rest supports AccessVision, with no tax dollars spent.
