Access Media Productions Community Channel online television
Access Media Productions Community Channel is a United States community television channel broadcasting from the Monterey Peninsula in California, where cable households know it simply as AMP 2. It is one of five channels run by Access Media Productions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media center based at 465 Tyler Street in Monterey, and it devotes its airtime to community events, locally produced shows, arts and culture. The lineup is curated by AMP staff together with independent producers from across Monterey County, and the signal reaches homes on Comcast channel 27.
The station grew out of Access Monterey Peninsula, founded in 1998, and took its present name in 2019 as production work expanded. It runs on community donations, user fees and funding from the cities of Monterey, Marina, Seaside and Pacific Grove, which keeps viewing free. On screen you get festival and parade coverage from the peninsula, concerts, gallery openings and theater nights, work from local schools and nonprofits, documentaries about Monterey Bay history, plus studio programs made by residents training in camera, editing and live direction. Sister outlets carry the Monterey Channel, the Peninsula Channel, AMP 1 and the Marina Channel.
The station's own community programming fills the hours between events with locally produced studio shows, music sessions, arts features and documentaries, and AMP runs hands-on workshops in editing, podcasting and storytelling so new producers across the county can put their work on air. Watch Live when a peninsula event goes out or catch the rebroadcast slots, and stream online in HD on any screen. Follow the United States live stream of Monterey County arts and culture around the clock, and Watch TV Online Free with no subscription and no set-top box to keep local TV online.
