DW English online television

DW English is the English-language television service of Deutsche Welle, the German international public broadcaster. Rolling news bulletins run through the day, and longer programs stop to explain stories from Europe, the United States and further afield. Correspondents report from the field while studio anchors work through the same items with guests. The service is that German newsroom speaking English, not a domestic channel borrowed from another country.

On weekdays the review The Day is presented by chief news anchor Brent Goff and by Nicole Frölich. They take emerging stories, set them in context, and talk them through with experts, political players and the broadcaster's own reporters on the ground. The African youth magazine The 77 Percent is hosted and moderated by Rachel Nduati. Edith Kimani is one of the presenters on that show and has also hosted the environment program Eco@Africa. The magazine is built as a conversation about issues facing young people on the continent, rather than another lap of the headline wheel.
