Class CNBC online television
Class CNBC is an Italian free-to-air television channel operating in the 24-hour business news format. The primary language of broadcasting is Italian. It was launched in 2001 as a joint venture between Class Editori, a leading Italian financial publishing group, and CNBC (a division of NBCUniversal), making it the first and only business television channel in Italy. The channel is headquartered in Milan, Lombardy, and employs between 51 and 200 staff members. Its managing editor is Andrea Cabrini, a financial journalist with over three decades of experience who previously worked at Mediaset.
On air, Class CNBC provides news and information on a real-time basis, 24 hours a day, covering financial markets, economics, and business from Italy and around the world. The channel is the Italian-language version of the pan-European channel CNBC Europe. Its daily schedule includes a mix of live market updates, talk shows, and in-depth reports. Key programs include Caffè Affari (the Italian version of Squawk Box), airing weekday mornings from 7:00 AM to 10:10 AM and hosted by Elisa Piazza. Other regular segments include Tradingroom, Forex Update, Analisi Tecnica, Linea Mercati Wall Street and Linea Mercati Pomeriggio hosted by Carla Signorile, and Report hosted by Jole Saggese. The channel also produces special interview programs such as Ceo Talks with Italian and international CEOs.
In January 2026, Class CNBC underwent a significant rebranding, launching a new, more essential logo that replaces the historic peacock symbol with a modern wordmark featuring a stylized upward arrow to represent growth and direction. The channel also expanded its distribution strategy, becoming available on digital terrestrial television for the first time on channel 828, significantly broadening its potential audience. It continues to broadcast on Sky Italia on channel 507, reaching approximately 5.1 million subscribers, and is also available on major FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) platforms including Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Rakuten TV, and TCL Channel. The channel launched a new app called Milano Finanza - Class CNBC, which allows users to follow the channel's live stream and access news content on smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs.
Class CNBC strives to be the reference point for business information in Italy, serving not only managers and professionals but also savers and citizens who want to understand complex economic and geopolitical scenarios. The mission of the channel is to provide reliable, continuous, and contextualized financial news, helping viewers interpret markets and make informed decisions about their savings, work, and future. Thanks to its expanded distribution across satellite, digital terrestrial, and streaming platforms, Class CNBC provides the opportunity to watch its live broadcast on any device, ensuring that its business news coverage reaches a wide audience across Italy and beyond.
