Canal 15 El Zamorano online television

Canal 15 El Zamorano is a local television channel from El Zamorano, a rural municipality in the east of El Salvador in the department of Morazán area, at the foot of the hills and close to the Honduran border. The channel brings local news, community life and the events of the villages of the region to its audience, reflecting the farming, the schools and the family life of a small rural community.

The news backbone is the local bulletin, which reports on the municipal council, agriculture and local trade, public safety, roads, water and the life of the villages of El Zamorano, with short reports from the countryside and interviews with the people involved. Magazine programmes look at local projects, schools, culture, religious festivals and the traditions of the rural communities, while the schedule also carries series, comedy and music shows. Sport, and local football in particular, keeps a steady place in the grid, and family programmes fill the weekend.

For viewers in El Salvador and for Salvadorans living abroad, the channel is a daily window on home.
