BRIDGE online television

BRIDGE is a Russian music television channel devoted to contemporary foreign pop. It has been on air since the mid-2000s and belongs to the Bridge Media holding, which calls itself the largest producer of music channels in Russia and the CIS and currently runs nine of them. The channel began as an attempt to secure airplay for a pop group its founders were producing; when the group was dropped, the channel itself became the business.

The daily grid mixes a main rotation with fixed appointment blocks. Dancefloor hits open the night, the main rotation follows in the early morning, an energetic wake up block starts the morning, a ten track chart lands late morning, a hot ten countdown arrives in the late afternoon, a retrospective journey through past decades plays in the evening and a retro dance block of late nineties and early two thousands tracks closes the night. Between them run current pop and hits of earlier years, and the site publishes show business news, award coverage and release announcements several times a week.

Distribution spans satellite transponders in DVB-S2 including one in HEVC, plus cable and internet operators served through three Moscow distribution partners.
