The HD picture stays sharp and stable on my TV, with barely any buffering as the skyline shifts from bright afternoon to evening lights.

I like checking this feed late on Sunday evenings, when the streets below quiet down and the office lights make the skyline feel almost cinematic. It is not a substitute for visiting New York, but for watching from abroad, the steady view is more relaxing than flipping through cable channels.

I checked the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt webcam at dusk from abroad, and the shift from daylight to the first city lights was the best part. The view feels more like a quiet travel preview than a TV program, though the image can look a little ordinary on slow evenings.
