I checked this feed while traveling through Colorado and found the steady Ridgway view more useful than a cable news loop. On a quiet evening the smoke can be hard to judge, but the changing light and mountain backdrop still give a helpful sense of conditions.

Watching the smoke shift around Ridgway is a sobering reminder that wildfire news is never just a headline. I hope residents have clear evacuation updates and that crews get a break from the wind.
