Nice glimpse of the North Sea

Before our ferry to Ameland last spring, I kept this webcam open during breakfast to watch the tide and see whether the beach was busy. The picture held up well even on a slow evening, though the fixed view is less informative than a local weather report.

I check this view before reading the weather forecast. If the waves are already this rough at Nes, ferry delays and storm warnings are probably the real headlines today.
