On the living room TV, the picture stays sharp and the audio is nicely synced, though HD took nearly a minute to kick in tonight.

We watched Bluey and Play School during a rainy afternoon in Canada, and the familiar Australian voices made the kids feel right at home. The stream paused once on a slow hotel connection, but it recovered faster than the cable options we had available.

I put Bluey on while making breakfast, and the short episodes were just right for keeping everyone settled before school without turning the morning into a full TV session.

I usually tune in for the morning headlines and local weather, but the election debates are what keep me watching. The coverage is generally clear, although business news sometimes gets squeezed into far too little time.

Seeing an old favourite series come around on the weekend still makes me smile. The reruns feel familiar without being boring, and they give the kids something easy to enjoy while we have breakfast.
