Watching WWJ-TV here is simple and free, and I did not need to create an account. The guide was easy to browse, though it lagged a little on my phone.

A weekend lineup with classic films and familiar series reruns is always welcome. It makes for easy background viewing when I am catching up on chores or relaxing at home.

I watched the Sunday evening newscast from Toronto and appreciated the quick Detroit sports roundup and the short local culture feature. The stream was steadier than my old cable app on a slow hotel connection, though the picture softened briefly during the final segment.

The kids and I watch the weekend weather reports together before heading out. The local forecasts are easy for them to understand, and the stream has stayed steady so far.

During a hotel stay in Chicago, I used the Friday 6 p.m. newscast to catch Detroit headlines and the weekend arts listings. It was easier than dealing with a cable login, though the stream paused once during a slower evening and needed a refresh.
