TARİH TV
Turkey
TARIH TV focuses on historical content, airing documentaries and archival footage that cover periods from the Ottoman Empire to the early Turkish Republic. The channel’s programming draws heavily on academic sources, with some segments featuring commentary from historians and researchers based in Turkey. Documentaries on ancient Anatolian civilizations, the Byzantine era, and key 20th-century events make up a significant portion of the schedule. Occasional specials examine military campaigns, architectural heritage, and the evolution of Turkish language and culture.
Viewers can access the channel through major Turkish cable and satellite providers, with a standard-definition feed available nationwide. The broadcaster maintains a digital archive of selected programs on its official website, though live streaming is not currently offered. Program guides are published weekly in Turkish newspapers and on the channel’s social media accounts, where they also announce reruns of older documentary series. The schedule typically avoids commercial breaks during feature-length films or multi-part historical investigations.
