Universal Action, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri genelinde yayın yapar ve ağırlıklı olarak aksiyon, gerilim ve macera türlerinden seçilmiş yüksek enerjili sinema filmleri ve dizilere odaklanır. Program akışı, son birkaç on yılın gişe filmlerine, dövüş sanatları yapımlarına, araba kovalamaca sahnelerine ve askeri temalı hikâyelere dayanır. Kanal ayrıca belirli seriler veya oyuncular etrafında ara sıra maratonlar düzenler; bu maratonlar genellikle hafta sonu öğleden sonraları veya akşam prime time kuşaklarında kesintisiz bloklar halinde yayınlanır. Reklam araları standarttır ve yayın sunumu, sade tanıtım kartları ve minimum düzeyde ara içerikle karakterize edilir.
