The HD picture stays sharp on my laptop, and the stream rarely buffers. Sound is clear too, even when the camera moves across the avenue.

I often check it from abroad late in the evening, when Nevsky Prospect quiets down and the streetlights reflect on the wet pavement. The PTZ controls can be slow at busy times, but seeing a drawbridge lift in real time makes the wait worthwhile.

I checked this before a trip to St. Petersburg and recognized the stretch near the Anichkov Bridge almost immediately. The PTZ control can be a little slow during quiet evenings, but watching the lights come on along Nevsky from abroad is still more atmospheric than a fixed cable feed.

I keep this bookmarked for the changing street scene - busy traffic, old buildings, and the occasional drawbridge opening make even a quiet moment in the city interesting.
