Amazon Movies est une chaîne câblée et satellite aux États-Unis qui diffuse principalement des films sortis en salles. Sa programmation s’appuie largement sur les productions hollywoodiennes des années 1980 à 2010, avec une part notable de films d’action, de comédies et de drames. La chaîne diffuse parfois des versions éditées de films classés R pour les créneaux de journée, et les coupures publicitaires sont insérées lors de transitions naturelles entre les scènes. Contrairement à certaines chaînes de cinéma qui misent sur les gros succès récents, celle-ci a tendance à faire tourner un catalogue de titres de fond, incluant quelques films indépendants et internationaux ayant eu une diffusion limitée en salles aux États-Unis.

Les téléspectateurs peuvent trouver la chaîne sur la plupart des grands réseaux câblés et fournisseurs satellite, généralement dans un bouquet en définition standard. La grille est structurée autour de blocs de films de deux à trois heures, sans série originale ni talk-show. L’accès au streaming en ligne ne fait pas partie de la distribution actuelle de la chaîne ; les seules listes de programmes TV en direct permettent donc de suivre les films à venir.
