Mezzo

Mezzo ist ein deutscher Fernsehsender, der sich auf klassische Musik, Jazz und Tanzaufführungen konzentriert. Sein Programm schöpft aus Konzertsälen und Opernhäusern in ganz Europa und darüber hinaus und präsentiert vollständige Sinfonien, Kammermusikabende und Ballettproduktionen. Auch Dokumentationen über Komponisten, Dirigenten und Musiker erscheinen regelmäßig und bieten Kontext zu den Aufführungen. Das Angebot des Senders ist weitgehend werbefrei, mit einem Programm, das auf ununterbrochene Musikwerke ausgelegt ist. Obwohl der Sender seinen Hauptsitz in Deutschland hat, ist sein Inhalt international ausgerichtet und zeigt Künstler und Ensembles aus mehreren Ländern.
