BBC Parliament überträgt live und aufgezeichnete Sitzungen der britischen Parlamentskammern, darunter Debatten, Ausschussanhörungen und Sondersitzungen von Fachausschüssen. Der Sender zeigt zudem politische Ereignisse wie die Fragestunde des Premierministers und bedeutende Staatsanlässe aus Westminster. In der Schweiz ist der Kanal über bestimmte Satelliten- und Kabelanbieter empfangbar und bietet den Zuschauern unkommentierte, ungeschnittene Politikberichterstattung ohne Analyse. Die Sendungen sind auf Englisch und konzentrieren sich auf den Gesetzgebungsprozess, nicht auf Unterhaltung oder Nachrichtenzusammenfassungen. Der Sendeplan richtet sich nach dem parlamentarischen Kalender, wobei Wiederholungen sitzungsfreie Zeiten füllen.
