Al Arabiya ist ein arabischsprachiger Nachrichten- und Politikkanal, der sich auf politische, wirtschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen im Nahen Osten und darüber hinaus konzentriert. Das Programm umfasst in der Regel Live-Nachrichten, Talksendungen und Dokumentarberichte zu regionalen und internationalen Ereignissen. In der Schweiz ist der Sender über Satellit und Online-Streaming-Plattformen empfangbar und richtet sich an die arabischsprachige Diaspora sowie an Interessierte an nahöstlichen Perspektiven. Die Inhalte werden in modernem Hocharabisch präsentiert, einige Sendungen bieten englische Untertitel. Der Sendeplan basiert auf fortlaufender Nachrichtenberichterstattung und geplanten Analysen, wobei große Nachrichtenblöcke nicht von Werbeunterbrechungen gestört werden.
