RETRO wird hauptsächlich in den USA ausgestrahlt und konzentriert sich auf Fernsehprogramme aus vergangenen Jahrzehnten. Der Sender schöpft vor allem aus den 1950er- bis 1990er-Jahren und bietet eine Mischung aus klassischen Sitcoms, Dramaserien und alten Filmen, die ursprünglich in diesen Zeiträumen liefen. Einige Programmierblöcke heben ältere Musikauftritte, Varieté-Shows oder kulturelle Dokumentationen hervor, die die Unterhaltungslandschaft jener Ära widerspiegeln.
