The morning show gave me a useful rundown of traffic, weather, and overnight headlines before work. The commute map was especially helpful for checking delays around Sacramento.

The business segment was refreshingly practical, especially the explanation of how fuel prices may affect household budgets. The political debate, though, needed fewer rehearsed talking points and more direct answers to local concerns.

The local reporting was strong tonight, but the bottom ticker moved so quickly that I missed half the school closure details. A slower scroll would make those practical updates much easier to catch.

The local reporting is generally sharp, but that bottom scroll moves so fast I miss half the headlines while reading the other half. A slower ticker would make the updates much easier to follow.

The election panel was at its best when the guests challenged each other with facts, not slogans. I would have liked more time on the local races instead of another round of national campaign clips.
