Universal Westerns vysílá klasické i současné filmy zasazené do amerického pohraničí, spolu s vybranými televizními seriály tohoto žánru. Program čerpá z rozsáhlé knihovny westernové kinematografie produkované ve Spojených státech, včetně němých kovbojek, odpoledních představení se zpívajícími kovboji a revizionistických dramat z pozdějších desetiletí. Mezi hlavními filmy se občas objevují dokumenty o historických postavách, dobytčích hnáních a osadách na hranicích. Stanice nevysílá zpravodajství, sport ani náboženské pořady, místo toho se zaměřuje na narativní zábavu zakořeněnou v mytologii a historii amerického Západu.
