NBA TV HD se zaměřuje na profesionální basketbal ve Spojených státech a vysílá živé přenosy základní části i play-off zápasů Národní basketbalové asociace. Stanice dále nabízí původní studiové pořady, rozhovory s hráči a tiskové konference, spolu s reprízami klasických utkání a dokumentárními segmenty, které mapují historii týmů a významné sezóny. Vysílání zahrnuje také draft NBA a letní ligu, s analýzami od bývalých hráčů a reportérů, kteří rozebírají strategii a výkony hráčů. Součástí programu jsou i vybrané mezinárodní basketbalové události, včetně soutěží FIBA a exhibičních zápasů za účasti týmů NBA.
